SISS update:
Another windy day of netball playing Tokomairiro HS on the livestream, it wasn’t the result we wanted but a very hard fought game by the girls coming away with a 19-42 LOSS. We could almost hear Lauren in the office shouting her support!

Game 2 against Garin College invitational team was a nailbiter! We were goal for goal in every quarter and we came away with a 25-24 WIN at the last few seconds.
We are all so proud of the team and how they played their hearts out today!
Looking at tomorrow , our games are 11am vs Ophi & 2pm vs Darfield.
We're off for some pool recovery tonight 🏊so we're ready to go again tomorrow.

This morning our three Exploring Classes (Yr5-8) have been learning about Climate Change and Conservation through the power of Virtual Reality. Our akonga absolutely loved wearing the headsets to see 3D videos of our beautiful planet and discussing how we can help it in the future.

We would like to thank our awesome PTA at Hurunui College for funding this visit.
What a fantastic opportunity!

SISS update:
🌟WIN 🌟 24-18 to us against Rai Valley this afternoon. It was a hard fought game in very windy conditions. The girls all did really well and had a great day. Off to the recovery zone for some pool therapy.
Tomorrow's game is 11am against Tokomairiro Senior A live on court 1 and is being live streamed.

The girls are all set for the South Island Secondary Schools (SISS) Netball Tournament in Nelson next week. We are so excited to have Casey from South Westland Area School joining us to play the tournament as a combined Hurunui College/ SWAS team.

Yesterday our weekly RISE Principal's award winners enjoyed an excellent morning tea feast with Mr Beck. We have it on good authority that the sausage rolls were cooked to perfection! Incredible work in showing our RISE values kura, ka rawe!
