We focus on the well-being of our precious children - our future leaders. Our locally owned and operated childcare centre is located at 13 Porter Drive, Havelock North, and cater for children aged 0-5yrs old. We are passionate and dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and education to our children. We foster respectful, reciprocal relationships and value whānau contribution and aspirations. At Rockmybaby® Childcare we believe:

What a beautiful way to end our week with our Special Persons Afternoon Tea! 🫖 🌸

Today we welcomed our special people into centre to share a lovely afternoon together. We had Nanas, Grandads, siblings, Mums, Dads, friends, whānau and so many wonderful people join us to celebrate the special place they hold in our children’s lives. It was such a beautiful afternoon filled with connection, laughter and whanaungatanga, celebrating the people who make our tamariki feel loved, supported and surrounded by care.

Today we celebrated our friend’s 2nd birthday with our special birthday tea party ritual. Coming together to sing “Happy Birthday,” share a special morning tea, and celebrate this milestone helps create a strong sense of belonging and community. These meaningful rituals become treasured traditions, allowing children to feel valued, celebrated, and connected as they mark important moments alongside their friends and teachers 🩷

The Koru Room baked and delivered star-shaped cookies to our local businesses, sharing kindness, gratitude, and the spirit of manaakitanga. As we celebrate Matariki, we reflect on the importance of coming together, strengthening relationships, and connecting with our wider community 💛

What a fun Friday in our jammies! 💙🧸

Last Friday, we dressed up for Jammies for June and would like to say a huge thank you to all our whānau for your generous donations of new pyjamas and koha. Your kindness helps support and care for tamariki of our wider local community, and we are so grateful for your contribution. The excitement continued as we watched the roadworks happening right outside our centre, with the digger hard at work capturing everyone’s attention! We also enjoyed some baking together, making for a day full of fun, learning, and connection.

A wonderful day spent cosy in our pyjamas, helping others, and making special memories together 💕

🌿 Meet Lucy Team Leader Mana Room🌿

We are excited to welcome Lucy Sims to our teaching team in the Over 2s Room.

With over 10 years of early childhood teaching experience, Lucy brings warmth, creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting tamariki to learn, grow, and thrive. She values building strong relationships with children and families and creating a nurturing environment where every child feels a true sense of belonging.

We are thrilled to have Lucy join our team and look forward to the wonderful experiences she will bring to our centre. Be sure to say hello when you see her around the centre!

Meet Elizna – Kaiako at Rockmybaby Havelock North

Elizna is a fully registered teacher with seven years of experience across both Primary and Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about supporting tamariki as they learn, grow, and develop confidence in themselves and their abilities.

After spending four years living in Hawke’s Bay, Elizna and her whānau moved to Auckland for a new adventure. However, it didn’t take long for them to realise how much they missed the Bay, and they are excited to be returning to the community they love.

As a proud mum of two, Elizna understands the importance of creating warm, nurturing relationships with tamariki and their whānau. She values building strong connections that help children feel safe, supported, and empowered in their learning journey.

Outside of teaching, Elizna enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, staying active, and making the most of everything Hawke’s Bay has to offer.

Elizna looks forward to meeting you and getting to know your tamariki while supporting them to thrive, learn, and grow.

Our tamariki have been building their cognitive skills, coordination, confidence and problem-solving abilities through active play today. And just look at those smiles ❤️So much learning happens when little minds and bodies are free to explore and have fun.
