Winter Tournament Week is well underway, with our teams proudly representing Lindisfarne at competitions across the country.
It has been a challenging start for some teams against strong opposition, but the boys continue to compete hard and gain valuable experience. There have also been some excellent performances and results across the different codes.
A highlight has been the 1st XI Hockey team, who secured a strong win yesterday to earn a place in the top eight of the India Shield. Our Senior A Basketball team also made an impressive start to their tournament, recording two wins from two games on their opening day.
Our golfers are performing strongly in the individual age-grade championships. After the first of three rounds, George Pogson sits fourth in the Under-16 competition on four under par, with Luke Jarvis close behind in fifth on three under. Both are firmly in contention, with the leaders on five under. In the Under-19 competition, Cordell Henare is tied for 20th in a field of more than 70 players.
Back at the College, our annual Under-15 Rugby Invitational Tournament kicked off yesterday. Our boys made an excellent start to pool play with a strong first-day win.
