After a high-energy workout this morning, our Te Vaka Māia students and staff were treated to a delicious cooked breakfast courtesy of the Rapid Relief Team (RRT).

We also had the opportunity to learn more about the incredible work RRT does in supporting communities, both locally and around the world. Their commitment to service, kindness, and helping others aligns strongly with the values we promote in Te Vaka Māia.

A huge thank you to the Rapid Relief Team for your generosity and for sharing your inspiring message with our tauira. 💛

🏐 STAFF VS. STUDENTS NETBALL SHOWDOWN! 🏐

What a game! Our students gave it everything they had on the court on Tuesday during an absolute nail-biter of a match against the staff.
While the staff managed to take out the win this time, the skill, speed, and incredible sportsmanship from our student team made it a fantastic game to watch. Huge effort from everyone who played and supported! 👏🔥

Our 3 Provisionally Certified Teachers (PCTs) were honoured to be part of Cultural Responsive PLD with Professor Mere Berryman OMNZ. What made this hui even more special was that all 3 teachers cited Mere Berryman work numerous times whilst they were studying to be teachers. A beautiful opportunity for our staff to meet a Māori academic whom helped shaped their careers as teachers at Flaxmere College.
