At Ōmāhu Kura, our tamariki love to learn! 💚

Our literacy programme, BSLA (Better Start Literacy Approach), and our maths programme, Maths No Problem, provide our tamariki with engaging and purposeful learning opportunities that help build strong foundations and confidence.

Here are a few photos capturing our tamariki enjoying their learning.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, curiosity and joy they bring to their learning each day. It is awesome to see our tamariki embracing every opportunity to learn and grow, whether they are in the classroom or learning through the world around them.

He akonga, he rangatira, through learning, our tamariki grow.

Kia ora e te whānau

The dental van is currently at our kura, which is a great opportunity for all of our tamariki to be seen. 🦷

You’ll notice the cones are out around the dental van, so please be aware of these when entering and leaving the kura.

Your tamariki may also come home with forms for you to sign. Please return these as soon as possible so that any necessary treatment can begin.

At this week’s Hui Whakanui, we celebrated our amazing tamariki for last week.
Ngā tamariki toa o te wiki tuaono! Ka pai rawa atu ō koutou mahi! Ko Jerihmius rātou ko Hayden, ko Poto, ko Ngaio, ko Kalais, ko Myspa, ko Aroha. We are so proud of all your efforts!

Congratulations also to Stormy, who was chosen in this week’s kāwai draw from the kete, and to Carma, Mackenzie and Kaara-Leigh, who received Duffy book awards.

🎉 Term 2 Winning House Celebration! 🎉
Yes… we know it’s taken us this long to celebrate! But better late than never!

This week we finally celebrated our Term 2 Winning House…….WEKA!

Our amazing WEKA tamariki got to celebrate their hard work and achievements by making themselves some yummy ice creams! 🍦

A huge congratulations to everyone in WEKA for all your effort throughout Term 2. You definitely earned this sweet reward! 🎉🍦
