Tomorrow is Dress-Up Day! 🌼

Come dressed in something fun, creative, and let’s enjoy a colorful day together!
Most importantly, we’re coming together to show love and support for people and families affected by cancer. Every little bit of kindness makes a difference. 🌼

Mālō e lelei! 🇹🇴

Tongan Language Week gave us a wonderful opportunity to immerse ourselves in Tongan culture. Our tamariki enjoyed listening to Tongan music, singing songs, and learning more about the Tongan language and culture.
During PE time this week, we practised our jumping skills and challenged ourselves with an exciting obstacle course. We also enjoyed plenty of active outdoor play, including riding bikes, running races with our friends, and climbing. Our Nest area has been full of sensory play this week! The tamariki have enjoyed exploring different textures — rice, playdough, and more — using their senses and learning through hands-on experiences.

We also celebrated Mrs Janethri’s birthday this week! Happy Birthday, 🎂 Mrs Janethri! We love you and hope you had a beautiful and joyful birthday filled with happiness, love, and lots of special moments!

🌼 A reminder for next Wednesday, 26 August: it’s our Daffodil Day Dress-Up Day! Come dressed in whatever you like — be creative, colourful, and fun! We will be supporting the Cancer Society and Daffodil Day.

We hope all our tamariki and whānau have a healthy and blessed weekend!

What better way to spend a rainy Friday than a fun visit to Kids Square!

Our tamariki had such a great time climbing, sliding, and enjoying lots of active play together. We feel so blessed and privileged to have access to this wonderful indoor playground through our church. We are very grateful for this special opportunity for our tamariki to explore and have fun together.

📖Bible Story of the Week – Joseph in Egypt

This week, our tamariki continued learning about the story of Joseph, focusing on his journey in Egypt.

Using puppets and engaging storytelling, Mrs Amelia brought Joseph’s story to life and encouraged the children to share their ideas through questions. As we followed Joseph’s journey, we talked about forgiveness, kindness, helping others, and trusting God.

The tamariki enjoyed joining in with the story and sharing their thoughts as we learned these special messages together.

📖 Bible Story of the Week — Joseph

Today, our tamariki enjoyed learning about the story of Joseph with Mrs Andrea. They had lots of fun taking on different roles through role play and bringing the story to life!

Through Joseph’s story, they learned the importance of telling the truth, not lying, and not being jealous of others. It was wonderful to see them learning these meaningful values while having fun together.

At Future Kids, we’re focusing on the Commonwealth Games over the next 3 weeks! 🏅

During today’s PE session, Mrs Amelia led our tamariki in practising catching skills through fun ball games. These activities help our children develop hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and confidence.

A Lovely Memory of Our Matariki Morning Tea ✨

What a wonderful time we shared at our Matariki Morning Tea! We sang waiata, enjoyed warm Matariki soup, created arts and crafts, went on a vegetable hunt, and planted harakeke (flax).

Thank you to all our families who joined us. It was such a joy to celebrate Matariki together and create these special memories with our tamariki and whānau.
