Congratulations team!

Through a lot of pray, grit and determination the senior A netball team won their Pool at the NI Secondary School Netball Championship in Wellington today.

Huge thanks to Mrs Haakma and Mrs Heeringa for countless hours coaching, and making the trip possible.

Huge congratulations again to Lily Fothergill who competed at the National Secondary Schools Fencing Championship in Auckland last weekend.

Following on from her success at the Regional Secondary School Fencing Championship in August, Lily secured 7th place against some tough fencers. She also achieved silver as part of the Central Colleges B team.

It's tournament week for our Senior A Netball team at the NI Secondary School Tournament in Wellington. Sadly a number of players have come down with winter illness and haven't made the trip.

The team have embraced this extra challenge with prayer and determination.

Congratulations to our Intermediate netball team for finishing as runners-up at the recent Intermediate Festival Day in Onekawa.

Last Friday, our Primary School travelled out to Still Waters for our annual cross country event. The sun was shining, and the day was filled with students challenging themselves, supporting one other, and enjoying a beautiful part of God's creation. A big thank you to the Thompson, Drower and Gurney whānau for opening up their home to make this day possible!

Congratulations to Lily Fothergill (Yr11) who competed at the Regional Secondary Schools Fencing Championship in Wellington at the weekend.

She finished:
7th in individual women's sabre
1st in women's sabre teams
2nd in overall sabre teams

We wish you all the best for the National Championship in Auckland at the end of the month!

The annual Sports Exchange (CLasH) between Cornerstone Christian School , Longburn Adventist College and HCS was held earlier this week in Palmerston North.

Congratulations to all HCS students for a successful 2 days and bringing the Ferrar-Clark trophy home for another year.

Huge thanks to Mrs Haakma and Mr Northe for organising, coaching and looking after 40+ students, and Mr Feyter for helping out with transport.
