Kia Ora Parents and Whanau

A quick introduction from me, I have temporarily stepped back into help coordinate sports for our school while Mrs Hutchins takes some time away. Please bear with me as I get my head around everything and make sure Term 4 Sport runs smoothly as possible.

TERM 4 SPORT REGISTRATIONS ARE LIVE!!

Please check the school website to register your child/children for sport they are interested in for Term 4. Please make sure you read all of the information provided for each sport before registering.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

BASKETBALL:

Basketball will roll over from Term 3 into Term 4 – so the same teams will continue playing. This will commence the first week back of Term 4. There will be no new players or registrations accepted for Term 4. Basketball will open up at the beginning of 2027 for Term 1 if your child is wanting to give Basketball a go.

TOUCH RUGBY:

Touch registrations will look a little different this term. Please don’t panic that it’s not available on our website yet!! Parents will need to register their child/children directly with Outkast Sports. I am just waiting for confirmation and that link to become available.

Once I have the link I will update the Touch Rugby section on our website for you to do this – so hold tight and wait for further information.

Other Term 4 Sports:

NETBALL YEAR 1-4
FLIPPA BALL (WATER POLO) YEAR 3-6
VOLLEY BALL YEAR 5-8
CRICKET YEAR 3-8

Please make sure you are aware of the closing dates for registering for each sport. We have a couple of short cut off dates and we will be unable to accept any late registrations once they have closed, as teams need to be organised and submitted to relevant organisations.

Hastings School Inter-school Cross Country 2026 - Well done to all our tamariki who ran today representing our school. You really did us proud in the beautiful Hawkes Bay sunshine. Some great results and the effort and determination of these kids was awesome!

St Mary's School you were amazing today for our Book Week Dress Up 2026!! Our grounds were fill to the brim with all sorts of book characters. Our kura is certainly a very creative and imaginative place. Well done everyone!!

Happy St Mary MacKillop Feast Day. It was chilly but the sun shone down on us all. God smiled down on us as we showed some pretty funky hair dos and remembered the messages of Mary in how to live a life of faith and love for others.
