Kia ora e te whānau,

A few weeks ago, one of our kindy whānau went through something no one should ever have to face. Amber and her babies escaped a horrific house fire in the middle of the night, thanks to the quick thinking of Amber and the family’s pet dog who woke her. While we are all so thankful they are safe, their home and belongings, even their car, were completely destroyed.

As Amber and her tamariki start to rebuild their lives, we would love to support them on this journey. Funds raised will go towards clothes, toys, furniture, and hopefully a new car to help them get around.

If you’re able to give a little, please do - every bit will make a huge difference for this young whānau.

“Manaaki Whenua, manaaki tangata, haere, haere, haere whakamua: care for the land, care for the people, go forward.
Manaakitanga and whanaungatanga are core values that we instill in our tamariki at raureka. Walking for aroha and showing love to each other, our land, our communities, our kaiako, and ourselves.

We were so blessed today to celebrate all our amazing Māmā with a Mother's Day morning tea. Treating them with delicious kai, hand massages, manicures, portraits, foot spas and lots of aroha! For those Māmā that couldn't stay, your tamariki took one for the team; eating keke, soaking their weary feet and practising their nail painting on ngā kaiako.

Kia pai tō rā Māmā! We hope you have a beautiful day on Sunday! ###
