Huge congratulations to our Heartattack Barbershop Chorus, who took first place in the Upper Voice section at the YSIH Nationals and finished runner-up overall!

After an incredible run of three national titles in a row, we're so proud of our talented singers and everything they've poured into this journey alongside their incredible Director and the much-loved Lynn Jamieson.

A heartfelt congratulations, too, to Bishop Viard College on taking out the National title this year. πŸ‘

As our HeartAttack Barbershop Chorus gets ready to take the stage at the Young Singers In Harmony NZ Nationals in Wellington, we're celebrating our incredible quartets, who delivered outstanding performances yesterday.

πŸ‰ Kia kaha te reo Māori!

To mark Māori Language Week, a team of Year 9s and 10s teamed up with St John's College, Hamilton to play in their first Kī-o-rahi Tournament at Steele Park. A traditional Māori ball game played on a circular field. Think rugby, netball, and touch rugby, with points scored by tagging the pou and hitting the tupu in the middle. Skills, strategy, and a whole lot of laughter.

Congratulations to Year 9 student Rielle Quinto, who took πŸ₯‡first place in the photography section at this year's Waikato Science and Technology Fair! Her winning entry captured Auricularia cornea - a native fungus better known as "Ears of the Tree."

The fair, held at the end of August, brought together 480 students from across the region β€” competing across categories including research boards, photography, wall charts, and observational drawings, where students presented their projects to judges from the industrial sector.

The 2026 focus is Te Reo Towns, with the motto: Ake, Ake, Ake – A Forever Language. This incites a celebration of the communities who have kept te reo Māori alive, and an invitation for all of Aotearoa to help it flourish into the future.

Sienna stepped onto the pitch today for her first game in the black jersey at the OFC U-16 Women's Championship in the Solomon Islands!
