We’re looking forward to celebrating all of our music students at our upcoming Mid Term Showcase!
📅 Saturday 20 June
📍 Crossroads Church
🕒 Performance Times: 3.00pm & 4.30pm
🎤 Rehearsals begin from 1.30pm onwards
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to gain confidence, perform in front of an audience and celebrate their progress.
Families — keep an eye on your inbox as individual performance times will be sent closer to the event.

The next day he went to collect his student... and she'd dyed hers too! 😂🧡
They looked at each other and laughed!
Sometimes the best moments at Excite happen before the music starts. 🎵
This feels like such a special full-circle moment for Excite Academy 💛
Kealey has only just begun her journey as part of our brand new Internship Programme — and what makes it even more meaningful is that she first walked through our doors as a student when she was just 7 years old.
Over the years, we’ve watched her grow in confidence, creativity and leadership, developing such a genuine love for the performing arts.
Now, to see one of our own students stepping into the next generation of upcoming teachers and leaders within Excite is incredibly exciting and something we are very proud of.
We can’t wait to support Kealey as she learns more about teaching, leadership and what happens behind the scenes of running a creative arts academy.

A huge congratulations to our awesome guitar and drum teacher Robin, whose band Tusk had the incredible opportunity to open for internationally acclaimed Norwegian desert rock band Slomosa last Thursday in Auckland 🎸🔥
Slomosa are currently touring across 16 countries in 2026, making this an amazing opportunity and unforgettable experience for the band.
Robin shared:
"My band Tusk had the pleasure of opening for one of the current leading bands in desert rock, all the way from Norway — Slomosa! It was an unforgettable night and a massive opportunity for us. Still buzzing from it."
We absolutely love seeing our teachers continuing to perform, create and pursue exciting opportunities in the music industry. Our students are learning from musicians who are actively living and breathing their craft — and that’s something really special.
Well done Robin and Tusk — we’re proud of you! 🎶
There’s something special about watching students grow in confidence and prepare for the stage.
Our students have been working hard behind the scenes and we can’t wait to celebrate them at our upcoming mid-year performances.

A huge congratulations to Darcy who performed last week in National Youth Theatre’s production of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid - The Musical" as a Reporter.
Darcy currently studies Musical Theatre, Vocals and Piano with us at Excite Academy and has developed such a genuine passion for all things theatrical. Watching her continue to grow in confidence, performance skills and stage presence has been incredibly exciting.
We love seeing our students pursue opportunities beyond Excite and step into bigger stages - and Darcy did exactly that last week.
Well done Darcy - we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see where your love of performing takes you next 💚
