Tamariki come first in all we do. We value respectful relationships. We work in partnership with parents & whanau. We have passionate and caring teachers.

We don't actually know what happened here but we love it πŸ’š

What we DO know is that a tamaiti who can laugh in the middle of a challenge is a tamaiti who feels safe enough to not get it right straight away 🌿 No meltdown. No giving up. Just a head tipped back, full belly laugh, and then right back to it πŸ’™

Resilience doesn't look like pushing through with gritted teeth. Sometimes it looks exactly like this 🐝

THAT FACE 🧱

That is the face of a tamaiti who has a vision and is absolutely going to see it through πŸ˜‚

Lego is deceptively rich - spatial reasoning, fine motor, perseverance, creative thinking, trial and error. But honestly? The concentration face alone tells you everything you need to know about what's happening in that brain right now πŸ’™

We love seeing tamariki get lost in something. Fully in it. Unbothered by anything else in the room 🌿 That's flow state. And it is something we protect fiercely 🐝

🐯

Dramatic play and dress-ups are so much more than cute - tamariki trying on characters are experimenting with identity, emotion, power, and voice 🌿 This tiger in particular has a roar that could rattle windows and we are not even slightly sorry about it πŸ’™

This is Mana Whenua | Belonging in action - tamariki connecting to the land, using what it offers, and creating something that belongs right where it was made.

The ngahere is our best co-educator. Days like this are why 🐝

THAT FACE πŸ’™

There is no caption in the world that does this justice πŸ₯Ή

What we CAN say is that a pΔ“pi who smiles like this is a pΔ“pi who feels it - the warmth, the safety, the belonging. Mana Atua | Wellbeing isn't a strand we tick off a planning document. It's this. Right here 🌿

We are so lucky 🐝

Rolling down a hill sounds simple. But ask any OT what's happening in that little body and they'll tell you - vestibular input, spatial awareness, proprioception, pure physical joy πŸ’™

Ngahere gives us things we genuinely cannot replicate inside four walls. And tamariki know it. Watch how free they get the second their feet hit the grass 🌿

Chosen independently. Settled in completely. Just a tamaiti and a book 🌿

We love seeing this - not because sitting still and reading is the goal, but because these tamariki found something that called to them and decided to stay with it. That's self-regulation. That's agency. That's Mana Reo | Communication in action πŸ’™

We don't make tamariki love books. We just make sure the books are always there, always accessible, and always worth reaching for 🐝

Washing the baby is SERIOUS work and we will not be interrupting πŸ˜‚

This kind of play - nurturing, caring, replaying the world they know - is some of the richest learning we see. Empathy, sequencing, fine motor, language. All of it wrapped up in a baby doll getting a very thorough scrub πŸ’™

Tamariki learn to care for others by being cared for themselves. And then they show us exactly what that's looked like 🌿🐝

THAT FACE πŸ’™
We genuinely cannot handle it πŸ₯Ή

This is what Mana Atua | Wellbeing looks like in real life - a pΔ“pi who knows they are safe, seen, and loved. That smile doesn't just happen. It grows in a place where tamariki are held well 🌿

We are so glad you're here 🐝
