Your recovery might depend on something no scan can measure: how you picture yourself six months from now.

Research on self-efficacy shows people who hold a clear, confident picture of their future recovered self tend to have better rehab outcomes. Not because belief replaces good programming — because how you see your recovery shapes whether you push through the hard days and trust the plan when progress feels slow.

What does “recovered you” look like? Get specific — that picture is part of the mechanism.

BALANCE TRAINING DOESN’T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED.

Standing on one leg is a great start.

But life doesn’t happen standing still.

We walk.
We reach.
We turn.
We step.
We change direction.

So train your balance with movement.

➡️ Reach forward
⬅️ Reach backward
↔️ Reach to the side

Simple exercise.
Different directions.
Constant adjustments.

Because balance isn’t just about staying upright.

It’s about controlling your body while you move.

Balance doesn’t need to be complicated.

It just needs to be intentional.

Save this and give it a try. 👍

Why this kettlebell cue teaches a better jump?? 🤔💣

Watch the free arm on a clean one-arm swing: back on the backswing, forward drive into the top. That arm action isn’t cosmetic — it’s teaching the body how to sequence a hip hinge into an explosive hip extension. That’s the exact same sequence a jump take-off needs.

For someone relearning explosive movement, borrowing that arm cue — swing back as you hinge, swing forward as you drive up — shortcuts the learning curve dramatically. Both movements are teaching the same skill: power, or how fast you can produce force, not just how much.

But here’s the part worth separating out: the take-off is where the skill transfer happens. The take-off is not where the bone benefit happens.

That comes from the landing. Bone responds to high-rate, high-magnitude impact — and a controlled landing, absorbed through the hips and knees, is exactly that kind of loading. It’s one of the few stimuli research consistently links to bone density gains. So once the take-off pattern is dialed in from the swing, the landing is the rep that actually matters for the skeleton.

Learn the pop from the kettlebell. Earn the bone benefit from the ground.

No gym? No excuse. All you need is a chair, a towel, and a band to work your hamstrings just as hard as a machine at the gym.

Why it matters: strong hamstrings take pressure off your lower back, help stabilize your knees, and support the deceleration mechanics that keep your stride steady and safe as you age.

If you’ve been putting off strength training because you don’t have equipment — this is your sign that you don’t need any.

An award I didn’t expect, but one I feel like I get to receive every day.

Being a father can’t be explained enough in words — every moment is a chance to learn, reflect, act, serve, be vulnerable, and grow. My wife Povvy Baldia and my two daughters, Tahlia and Eliana, are the reason I want to keep becoming better at this.

It is truly a journey I’m blessed with the responsibility to carry until my very last breath.

“The measure of a man's success is directly related to his effectiveness as a godly father, for which God is the only true example and standard.”

“A male who is physically strong but weak as a father is not a man. A male rich in possessions but poor in fathering is not a man”

“A true father never says, 'Do what I say but not what I do.' Instead, a godly father with integrity can unashamedly say to his wife and children, 'Live the way I live, and you will be like the Father.”

"Not being present in his children's lives makes a man a biological supplier of s***m, not a father."

"The only way for a man to discover and live out his inherent fatherhood nature is to maintain a focus on purpose rather than roles that are related to a certain culture or time in history."

-From the Book “The Fatherhood Principle” by Dr. Myles Munroe

Ever notice your elbow or forearm feels tight and achy by the end of a work day — even though you didn’t “do” anything physical?

Here’s what’s actually going on. Every time you type, use a mouse, or grip your phone, you’re using the muscles that close your hand — your finger flexors. On a desk job, they’re working non-stop, all day.

The muscles that do the opposite job — opening your hand, your finger extensors — barely get used. And that imbalance between a hand that’s constantly closing and never opening is a real contributor to elbow pain, like tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow.

The fix is surprisingly simple and cheap: loop a rubber band around your fingers and thumb, then open your hand against the resistance. One set of 20-30 reps, done multiple times a day — you can do it right at your desk between typing tasks.

If you’re already dealing with ongoing elbow or wrist pain, get it checked out first — this is a prevention exercise, not a treatment for an existing injury, although sometimes it can be.

Give it a go this weekend and let me know in the comments if you feel that “opening” burn — it’s a strange spot to feel one for the first time. 😁🤲🏼
