What we've been up to in the last month behind the scenes.......

Happy New Year to all our wonderful whānau!

Hope everyone got to have a bit of a break with their families as well.

So much has been happening in the last month, since our ownership handover before Christmas and the change to Villa Aroha.

- our first Villa Aroha Family Christmas Celebration :) THANK YOU FOR COMING!!!!
- the parking lot got resurfaced, fencing updated
- both houses had a good wash (roof treatments still to come)
- new carpet and lighting throughout both houses
- vinyl floors stripped, cleaned and resealed
- interior painting in both houses
- new sand
- new playground
- new bark
- Whare Kōwhai's outdoors have new soft fall and ground covering
- Gardens are set up
- upstairs STEM class room established, complete with "Sensory Cave" in Whare Kauri
- custom furniture ordered for Whare Kowhai (will be delivered tomorrow or on Tuesday)
- team had first meeting and has created a plan for curriculum, individual and group planning
- portfolio books for all children
- lots of new resources and toys
- our page is well received and we love the interactions
- our website is live on www.villa-aroha.co.nz
- we welcomed new families. A special warm welcome to you :)

Currently we are working on our Annual Plan. The Annual Plan is a compliance item required by the Ministry of Education NZ and will be a lively document guiding our operations. It will show a schedule for policy reviews, operational activities, curriculum foci, financial key dates as well as - our favourite - special celebrations.
