We’ve been a little quiet on here, but what a beautiful way to brighten up our page again! 💛🌼

Our tamariki and kaiako came together for Daffodil Day, filling Playful Pathways with sunshine, smiles and lots of yellow. It was a special day of learning about kindness, hope and supporting those in our community affected by cancer.

We’re so happy to be back sharing all the wonderful moments happening at Playful Pathways Preschool. We have lots to catch you up on! 💛

Each Matariki star shares a special story, and today is about Waitī, the star connected to freshwater and the life it supports, through creating beautiful river artworks.

They also discovered Tupuānuku, the star that represents everything that grows from the earth, by exploring the art of harakeke weaving and celebrating the beauty and resources nature provides.

Our Matariki journey comes together this Thursday, and we can't wait to celebrate with our wonderful whānau. See you there! ✨

As we continue exploring the stars of Matariki, our tamariki created rainmakers inspired by Waipuna-ā-rangi, the star connected to rain and the waters that fall from the sky.

They also painted beautiful constellations inspired by Hiwa-i-te-rangi, the star of hopes, dreams, and aspirations, encouraging them to imagine the possibilities the new year can bring.

We can't wait to share all of their wonderful Matariki creations with you this Thursday! ✨

As we continue exploring the stars of Matariki, our tamariki have been busy creating rain clouds inspired by Waitā, a star that reminds us of the importance of freshwater and the life it brings.

They also created beautiful pōhutukawa blooms to honour Pōhutukawa, the star of remembrance, reflecting on those who came before us.

Through creativity and play, our tamariki are discovering the stories, values, and connections that make Matariki so special.

We can't wait to share all of their wonderful Matariki creations with you this Thursday! ✨

✨ Matariki Series 🌟 Matariki ✨

Our ngā pēpi explored the joy of planting aromatic herbs, connecting with the Matariki star, which represents new beginnings, hope, and reflection. 🌿

The Matariki star reminds us to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead with hope. As our pēpi care for their plants, they are beginning to understand that growth comes with patience, kindness, and nurturing, just as we nurture one another.

A beautiful way to welcome the Matariki season and the many stories the stars have to share.

What an unforgettable learning experience! 🐝🍯

Our tamariki had the wonderful opportunity to explore the fascinating world of bees with beekeeper Sarah C from Sarah C's Bees. From seeing live bees up close and learning how they care for their hive, to discovering how honey is made and trying on real beekeeping suits, every moment sparked curiosity and excitement.

Experiences like these bring learning to life, encouraging children to ask questions, make connections, and develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world. We loved sharing this special adventure together!

Our Ngā Pēpi have been busy exploring the wonderful world of bees! As we prepare for our upcoming Bee Education experience, our little learners enjoyed a bee-themed tuff tray, discovering bees, flowers, and honeycomb through hands-on play.

There's no better way to spark curiosity than through play! We can't wait to see what they'll discover next. 💛
