It is with a tinge of sadness that I announce that after 13 years we are planning to close The Little Things. I have taken a new teaching role (did you know that I am also a qualified ECE teacher?). Abe will be continuing on with projects in our tissue culture lab.
We will still no doubt grow plants (we are too addicted now to stop!), but our website will not be selling direct to the public. I just wanted to take a moment to reflect, and to say thanks, whether you followed us, or bought plants, or flowers- or maybe I even did your Wedding florals back in the day! It's been a blast building so many awesome relationships and we have made a lot of friends along the way. Abe and I have appreciated all of your support. Hope to bump into you again in the future! - Megan

Finally recovering from having been incredibly sick. There is really nothing like being that sick to make you grateful for normal life. Appreciation post for this gorgeous Hoya Sunrise which has coloured up amazingly since we moved her under light.

No matter how many new leaves I see on these I never get tired of them, the variegation is unreal! Apologies on my slow replies this week if you emailed- it has been a hectic couple of weeks here. Thanks to all of our new followers, we appreciate it!

Variegated Melanochrysum. She has such unique colours in her variegation! We skipped straight to the Variegated one with this and don't even have a standard Melanochrysum! I'm falling in love with this one though so I may need to change that... surely they need each other for contrast? Gosh it's easy to justify more plants, even when trying to downsize! Anyone else struggling? Haha

We are celebrating our guy's 11th birthday today ♡ This is his terrarium that he has been working on for the last 6-12 months, Abe turned it around today as the leaves had been growing towards the wall, and I have to say, I'm so in love with the gloriosum's beautiful leaves.
Our boy has done a pretty good job of looking after it mostly unaided (with just the odd reminder of when it needs water) - he's after some kind of creepy creature/ pet to live in it next.. I'm not 100% sold on that idea haha
