🎉 MEET THE TEAM MONDAY: THE MARAMA TEAM! 🎉

Happy Monday, Te Totara whānau! We’re back with another installment of our Monday spotlight series, and today we’re turning the mic over to our senior school superstars : The Marama Team (Year 5 & 6)!

Our Year 5 and 6 teachers lead our eldest students with so much energy and dedication. To get to know the team a little better, we asked them three essential questions!

🎉 THAT’S A WRAP ON TERM 3! 🎉

The bell has rung, and the two week holiday break has officially begun! A huge thank you to all of our students, whānau, and staff for an incredible Term 3 filled with so much learning, growth, and fun.

To our hard working kaiako, make sure to go switch those morning alarms OFF right now! Sleeping in is officially on the timetable.

To all our families, enjoy a safe, happy, and relaxing holiday break.

Quick Reminder: Daylight savings starts this Sunday! Don't forget to set your clocks FORWARD 1 hour before you head to bed on Saturday night!

This morning we had the amazing Earth 37 sharing some of their wonderful mahi from this term at our final sharing assembly for Term 3.

They shared about the koru, and shared beautiful lines from their poems about what a koru means to them.

To support their Te Tiriti o Waitangi learning from earlier in the term, Earth 37 gave a wonderful drama performance showing early trading between pakeha and Māori, and shared some of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how we can uphold them.

To finish off they shared their beautiful koru artwork. Ka mau te wehi Earth 37, you should be so proud of how well you spoke and performed!

Achievement, welcome and gold library certificates were also handed out to our STARS in the Matawhero, Earth and Marama Pods.

This morning we had the wonderful Neptune 24 sharing some of their mahi from this term!

Neptune 24 have been doing lots of amazing learning all about the very hungry caterpillar! They shared a beautiful song about the very hungry caterpillar as well as some amazing explanation writing on the life cycle of a caterpillar. Finally they showed their lovely caterpillar art! Lots of great mahi shown this morning.

Achievement and Gold Library certificates were also given out to our STARS in the Neptune and Milky Way pods. Ka mau te wehi ākonga mā!!

🇳🇿🗣️ KIA ORA TE WIKI O TE REO MĀORI! 🗣️🇳🇿

Our school grounds were filled with excitement, te reo Māori, and music on Rāhina as we kicked off our week of celebrations!

Our students loved taking part in two different scavenger hunts across the school, followed by an energetic rākau sticks workshop at lunchtime hosted by Miss Kumar, Whaea Erin, and Miss Lindsey!

We have plenty more engaging activities lined up for the rest of the week, so stay tuned! We'd also love to encourage our whānau to practice speaking te reo Māori at home with your children. Every little bit counts!

This moring we had a wonderful sharing assembly hosted by Orion 10!

Orion 10 love reading Greedy Cat books. Today, the children acted out the original Greedy Cat story. Mum went shopping and brought some grocery items, but along came that sneaky Greedy Cat and gobbled them all up. That is until, Mum played a spicy trick on Greedy Cat.

Achievement and welcome certificates were also given out to our STARS in the Orion and Rā pods. Ka mau te wehi!
