St Paul's Collegiate School

St Paul's Collegiate School Kia ora and welcome to the official page of St Paul's Collegiate School, Hamilton NZ.

St Paul's is one of New Zealand’s leading independent day and boarding secondary schools located in Hamilton. The school has a reputation for providing a personalised education focusing on academic excellence for boys in years 9 to 13 and girls in years 11 to 13. For more than 40 years, St Paul’s has offered and continues to offer a compulsory 18 week outdoor pursuits programme to all Year 10 boys where they grow through challenge and adventure. At St Paul’s Tihoi Venture School, the boys are stripped of modern technology such as television and mobile phones, placed into communal living, regular schooling and outdoor experiences. Here, they develop into young men who are independent, responsible and contributing members of society.

You may recognise Karli and Hilton Joll, parents of twins Archie and Liam Joll (School 2022–2026), who we’re recognising today as St Paul’s Good Sorts! 💛🐝 For the Joll family, being part of the community has meant contributing wherever they can – helping with cricket, scoring games, umpiring, supporting teams or simply giving their time when needed.

Blair Dean (Year 12) has turned his work experience with Schick Civil Construction into a full-time position! After completing the Waikato Trades Academy programme at Wintec, Blair attended a Schick careers experience day, where students from across the Waikato took part in practical activities and learned more about the company. Blair was selected for an eight-week work placement and impressed Schick with his attitude and work ethic.

As his placement came to an end, Blair was offered his role, which he will begin in Term 4. A great example of how making the most of vocational opportunities can open the door to employment. Wishing you all the best in your new pathway, Blair! 👏
