JACK DIXON-SMITH • BJJ PURPLEBELT • Pleasure to award Jack his Purplebelt tonight! Jack came to us a highly skilled grappler from Te Kura Awhio in Gisborne, and him and his partner Emma have been staples in both our BJJ Gi and Nogi team. Between battling through work away and some reoccurring injuries, Jacks still been grappling like a beast and punching way above his weight. Congratulations bro, keep it up! 🙌

Competitions across the country today, with Sawyer and Qusoy making the trip up to Auckland for the NZ NATIONAL SAMBO & COMBAT SAMBO FEDERATION and CLUBS nationals and Ruby heading down to Invercargill to compete at Stealth Grappling. Great passion all around from these young athletes and no doubt they are on the path to becoming future champions!

NZ YOUTH MMA TOURNAMENT SERIES 2026 • We're back with the NZ's longest running youth MMA event, October 24th at CORE MMA.

This years Full Force Fight Co. event will be run in partnership with the New Zealand Mixed Martial Arts Federation as part of their national youth development plan, and provides an opportunity for crucial competition experience for rangatahi looking to represent NZMMAF internationally.

The tournament will feature both novice (controlled contact) and advanced divisions.

Great day out for our wāhine yesterday at the Sport Jiu-Jitsu Int. Fed. world championships in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 Charlotte Scheffler had a fantastic match in her semifinal, where she showed off an incredibly strong attacking game. Unfortunately she ran out of time while securing the finish and narrowly lost on points. Lily ran a repeat of last year and won the Purplebelt open weight women’s division.

These two are both such great role models in the gym for all our younger athletes, and have really taken all our female grapplers under wing 🪽 We couldn’t be happier having you both at the front of our team 🙌

Our rangatahi are on the mats from tomorrow onwards and these two are back up again for Gi aswell. Goodluck team!
