Tamariki in ruuma Kereruu are exploring the world through their senses as an ongoing inquiry project.

By using touch, sight, and taste to explore temperature, cause and effect, and the properties of different materials, tamariki are developing curiosity, patience, and a love of discovery. This hands-on, sensory approach reflects our Reggio philosophy, supporting emergent learning and fostering a deeper connection with the natural world.

Ngaa tamariki in ruuma Kereruu had a wonderful time exploring the world of air and Exscite during our visit to the Waikato Museum in Hamilton. Through hands-on play with air machines, paper planes, and a range of air streams, they shared ideas, tested their thinking, and developed their own theories about how air works. This reflects our growing focus on STEAM, nurturing curiosity, creativity, and exploration through the use of our senses.

The earth has music for those who listen - William Shakespeare.

This week at our Glenview Centre we have been adventuring in our local area. So far we have visited the new bridge and hiked through the Mangakotukutuku gully and stream area. Learning about gifts from Papatuanuku and how to care and protect these taonga.
