Raroera Te Pūawai is operating at Alert level 2. Please follow our tikanga when onsite and save lives.
Kia ora tātou,
As of 6am today, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) moved back to COVID-19 Alert Level 3 and the rest of Aotearoa is at Alert Level 2 for seven days until March 8 to halt the spread of the virus.
Here’s what this means for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa in Tāmaki Makaurau and for the rest of Aotearoa.
What the alert changes mean for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa sites in Tāmaki Makaurau:
- All Auckland TWoA sites, including Dynaspeak and Ngā Kākano o te Mānuka, will be closed until Monday 8 March;
- All of our kaimahi (staff) will be working at home between now and then
- We will keep all of our tauira (students) in the Tāmaki Makaurau updated as to what this means for upcoming classes in your region
What the alert changes mean for the rest of Aotearoa:
- The rest of Aotearoa is at COVID-19 Alert Level 2 as of 6am, Sunday 28 February, meaning TWoA sites outside the Auckland region will remain open;
- Manuhiri (visitors) to TWoA sites must adhere to COVID-19 hygiene rules including handwashing, signing in and out, and scanning COVID-19 QR Codes at our sites;
- Manuhiri (and our kaimahi) should maintain physical distancing of 1-metre;
- Please. If you are unwell, stay at home.
With the announcements of Tāmaki moving to alert level 3 and the rest of the country at alert level 2, it emphasises the need for us to stick to our tikanga:
-> signing in and signing out at puna
-> scanning the QR code
-> practising good hand hygiene
-> and staying home if we are unwell
Kia matāra tātou!
