Hamilton, Fairfield Bridge
I recently moved to Hamilton, and honestly, I haven't explored much of the city yet. But I've found myself drawn to the Fairfield Bridge; it's so close to where I live that I've been visiting it regularly.
On my third visit, a memory hit me out of nowhere: about fifteen years ago, I came to Hamilton with a group of friends from Auckland. We hung out on this exact bridge, though back then I didn't really know the area or appreciate what I was looking at.
Pretty surreal moment. Had to capture it. 😁

Hamilton North, just off the expressway.
After watching some of the birds hunting for 30 or so minutes, I decided to walk back to the car and look into a scrubby area. The Harrier was sitting on a post, and it took off straight away. Somehow, I managed to focus on it just as it lifted off the post and tracked for a few seconds. This was one of a series of images that were in focus.
Harriers are very difficult to get close to, and so I was a bit lucky.
