Makuhari Japan Exchange

We currently have a small group of Year 8 students in Makuhari with Whaea Helen, experiencing and learning about life in Japan. We're looking forward to hearing about their travels when they return - meanwhile, here are some pics of their adventures!

Our boys had the best time playing a friendly football game against Hamilton Boys High School year 9 Bronze team. We had two sets of year 7 boys playing against their year 9 brothers, which made for some interesting fouls! 🤔

We had some exPeachgrove boys come and support us. Honorable mention to year 9 Stephen who played in goal for us.

Final score was 4-3 to Hamilton boys. Our players played their hearts out. So many firsts - 11 a side and long 40 minute halves. We look forward to meeting up with Hamilton Boys again in the near future.

Last night's Waikato Regional Science Fair Prize-giving was a fantastic celebration of our students' achievements. We are so proud of our Peachgrove students who represented the school and won some well-deserved awards. Hard work really pays off!

Another shout out to our individual competitors. Today we highlight Natalia Wells, Talylah Wilson-Peel and Mila Murray who competed in gymnastics. It's not an easy feat being in an individual event at AIMS. You are not surrounded by your peers and it's really difficult for teams to come and support you. Well done to all of these brave and strong students! We're so proud of you.
Mila came 11th equal overall in tumbling
Natalia came 39th equal overall tumbling and 17th overall in artistic
Talylah came 1st in the floor, 4th in beam, 4th in bar, 4th in the vault and 4th overall

Congratulations Peachgrove Futsal Team!

Our futsal boys finished 10th out of 56 teams from across NZ. Couldn't be any prouder of them and the way they showed grit and determination all week - their pride values were on display. Total of 6 wins 2 losses and 1 draw that resulted in a penalty shootout. Our boys played outstanding futsal and should be proud of their efforts.
