Next Sunday, 23rd August, Team 3 will be running a bake sale at the end of the combined School and Parish Mass. This fundraiser will support our Year 5–6 Camp and Year 4 Activities Week. Students in Years 4–6 are kindly asked to bring homemade goods such as muffins, cakes, biscuits, slices and other sweet treats to be sold.

Items can be dropped off at the front of the church from 9:30am on Sunday, where trestle tables will be set up. Small boxes for baked items will be given to your child early next week. However, you are welcome to send baking in other disposable or reused containers, such as ice cream containers, takeaway containers, or on a plate covered in cling film.

We kindly ask that you write on the box or container what the item is and indicate any allergens that people need to be aware of. Please see the information below.

The countdown is on ....we can't wait to see you all at the DISCO TONIGHT.

Parents, you are welcome to drop and run (the disco is well supervised), stay at the hall while your children have some fun or please come and join us in the staffroom for nibbles and refreshments while your children have a boogie.

Parking and entry are via the church car park and the main gates into school from there. Tickets are cash or eftpos.

We are looking forward to a night of dance moves and grooves.

It may be a Teacher Only Day tomorrow, BUT that doesn't stop the fun!

A reminder that school is closed for instruction tomorrow.

Next Friday, 7 August, SCCS has a Teacher Only Day for professional learning focused on the new mathematics curriculum. This means the school will be closed for instruction on this day. Please ensure you make arrangements for your child/children.

Regardless of this, the students' and friends' disco is still taking place on Friday afternoon/evening, as per the information already shared in our last newsletter.

🏈 Flag Football – Give It a Go Session! 🏈

Ever wanted to try Flag Football? Now's your chance!

📅 When: THIS Thursday 6th August @ 3:15pm – 4:15pm
📍 Where: School Field
💲 Cost: FREE!

Come along for a fun afternoon and see what Flag Football is all about. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to have a go!

What to bring:
🏃 PE gear is recommended, but school uniform is absolutely fine.
👟 Covered footwear or boots if you have them.
😊 A great attitude!

We have space for 15–20 students from both the U10 (8-10 year olds) and U13 (11-12 year olds) age groups. Please email [email protected]

🌟 We'd especially love to see more girls come along! Flag Football is a fantastic sport for everyone and is a great opportunity for girls to get involved in a fast-paced, fun, and inclusive game.

There is no cost, just a fantastic opportunity to give something new a try. We hope to see you there!
