Yesterday, our cross country team traveled to Tokoroa to compete in the annual WIMS Cross Country event. We couldn't have asked for better conditions, as the sun came out to set the stage for a fantastic day of racing.

Despite a few pre-race nerves, every single runner gave it their absolute all on a challenging course. Our Year 7 athletes pushed through a tough 3km track, while our Year 8s tackled the longer 3.5km route.

The team's hard work paid off with several outstanding individual and team results, including multiple top-10 finishes. A special mention goes to our overall category winners:

Year 8 Girls Champion: Mayson Murray (1st Place)

Year 8 Boys Champion: Alex Gale (1st Place)

Beyond the results on paper, our students demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship, exemplary behavior, and represented our school with immense pride throughout the day. Congratulations to everyone who took part.

Welcome Saitama City! Our sister city students are visiting for their annual trip to New Zealand. We had an amazing Whakatau this morning, followed by wonderful performances by our Pasifika and Kapa Haka groups!
