Coming up on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 is our annual Nearest & Dearest Day. Students are invited to bring up to four special people in their life - 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺, 𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘦, 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵, 𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥 ✨

👉 Our Nearest and Dearest will be invited to join classes from 9.00am -10.30am, and also to visit our Book Fair in the office/admin area. The morning will be relatively informal and flexible, and an opportunity for our students to share their school with their near and dear.

🤩What a fantastic week it's been at Te Ao Mārama School!
A huge thank you for your support with today's Staff Only Day. Having 55 of our staff together in one place is incredibly valuable, giving us dedicated time to learn, reflect, and strengthen how we work together so we can continue providing the very best for our tamariki.

The week has also treated us to some stunning winter mornings. While they've certainly been frosty (and chilly!), there's no denying how beautiful our school looks covered in a crisp layer of frost as the sun rises.

❤️ Our lunchtime activities for Cook Islands Māori Language Week continued today with our older students making lolly bracelets (a scaled-down version of lolly necklace or “ei kaki lole”) 🍬

Our lunchtime was full of colour, culture and connection as students enjoyed Cook Islands Māori Language Week activities together.
🗣This year's theme is "Me kite koe i te tuatua i to'ou reo tupuna, e turanga rangatira tena nō'ou no te uki amuri atu" ("With our language as our foundation, we will embrace the future").

A very special morning as we welcomed some additional international students, along with our teacher trainees who will be completing their training and gaining valuable experience here for the remainder of the term.

It was wonderful to come together as a school community to formally welcome them into our Te Ao Mārama whānau and wish them all a fantastic term ahead. We are excited to have you with us! 💙💚

🌿 Bilingual Māori Medium Classes – Expressions of Interest for 2027 🌿

We are excited to share more about Te Puāwaitanga o te Rito, our bilingual Te Reo Māori programme, and to let whānau know that expressions of interest are now open for tamariki wishing to join us in 2027. 💚💙

Our bilingual programme provides a wonderful opportunity for tamariki to grow their knowledge and confidence in Te Reo Māori, tikanga Māori and English, while learning in a supportive, nurturing and culturally rich environment.
