Last week we took 24 students to participate in the RYDA workshop combined with Rototuna High School & Hamilton Girls High School. The workshop was all about road safety, what safety features to look for when buying a car, learning to speak up if you don't feel safe with the person driving, peripheral vision and much more. The students really enjoyed the role playing, breaking at certain speeds, demonstration and the free cupcakes! It was an awesome day out!!

On the 14-15th May we had 23 students attend the ITS Service Industry workshop at school where they gain work ready and transferable skills before they do their work experience. As always the students especially enjoyed the role playing, learning about the Legislation Acts, food safety and all the interactive activities. There was soo much laughter and communicating going on it was an awesome 2 days!

On the 07th May we visited the Whenuapai Air Force Base with 6 students. This was a great day for our students where they were given a tour around the base and got to meet staff, ask questions and were given an explanation of what they do in their chosen trade. The air force base is like a village where they have their own barber, cafe, bar, gym units & houses for staff, tool hire shed etc. We also visited "The Mess" where we all enjoyed a yummy lunch. It was a great day and it gave the students a taste of what it would be like to be a part of the Airforce..
