Whakataetae-a-whare - Tabloid Games
Tomorrow, Thursday (2 April) we will be having a Whakataetae-ā-Whare Tabloid games.
Students are encouraged to come to school dressed in their house colours:
Kōwhai (yellow) S1, M5, M3 and J7
Kawakawa (black) S4, M2, J6 and J5
Kauri (green) S2, M4, J8 and J4
Kahikatea (orange) S5, M6, and J1
Kōtukutuku (purple) S3, M1, J3 and J2
Parents/caregivers are welcome to attend the Tabloids which will start at 11.15am.
Thursday is also the last day of term one, school will finish at 3pm.
Term two starts on Monday 20 April with classes starting at 8.55am

Please remember to book a time with your child’s teacher for a parent teacher conference. These are being held on Thursday 26 March from 3.15pm to 6pm and Friday 27 March from 1pm to 4pm.

It was great to welcome back our students back at Glenview School on Tuesday, ready for another school year.
If you have not already purchased your child's stationery pack these are available at the school office.

2026 stationery packs are available to purchase at the school office as follows:
Thursday 29 January between 9am and 3pm
Friday 30 January between 9am and 12pm
Monday 2 February between 9am and 3pm
Please note we will not be selling stationery on Tuesday 3 February till after 9.30am due to the number of new students starting with us.
If you have misplaced your child's order form, replacement forms are available at the office. Please fill this in before coming to the counter to pay for your pack.
The first day of school for 2026 is Tuesday 3 February. Please make sure your child brings a wide brimmed sun hat, drink bottle filled with water and a packed lunch.
Year 5 & 6 Camp
Camp 1 is from 23 February to 27 February classes S2, S3 and S5 will be attending
Camp 2 is from 2 March to 6 March, classes S1 and S4 will be attending.
Cost of the camp is $45 for year 5 students and $80 for year 6.
Further information about camp will be given out to students in the first few days at school.

End of year reports and 2026 classes are now available for viewing on Hero.
Also if you have not already notified us and are planning to leave our school at the end of 2025 (other than Year 6 students), it would be appreciated if you could please advise us by emailing the school office [email protected] as soon as possible.

Due to weather conditions school athletics day (19 November) will be postponed. As we have multiple events on our calendar this week, the first four rotations will take place tomorrow (Thursday) between 9.15am and 12.50pm, and the final two rotations will be Friday morning 9.15am - 11.45am.

A reminder to parents and whānau that our amazing Kapa Haka students are performing this Thursday, 20 November at 2pm.
We encourage parents and whānau to come and see how hard they have been working on their waiata and haka.
If your child is in our kapa group please remember they will need black shorts if they are a boy.
The performance will begin at 2pm so please make sure you are seated before then.
