I spent a week with a group of tweens at school camp, which was a no-phone zone. It was refreshing to see them interacting with each other in real time, there were ups and downs for sure, but they entertained each other and didn't seem to miss them one bit while we were there. I wonder what has happened now they are home?

Is your teen addicted to their phone? It's a concern many parents have considering the vast amount of time their teen spends on their phone.

Sometime we do need to change our tune maybe even the station. Does radio station age me???

This is a great overview of Grit and I agree with the idea that these dispositions can't necessarily be taught in isolation but we must provide opportunities for growth and coach kids through the ebb and flow of emotions that may come. Grit does not stand alone but it may help us stand.

We want grit for kids. It is a proven indicator of success, even more influential than intelligence. So how do we develop it?
