Our Tamariki celebrated Matariki last Friday
We did several activities to celebrate the Maori New Year
Matariki is the Māori New Year, marked by the midwinter reappearance of the Pleiades star cluster in the night sky. It is a nationwide public holiday in Aotearoa New Zealand dedicated to three core principles: remembering the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future
🌟 Lantern Making
🌟Icing our Matariki Stars
🌟Writing our wishes for the new year
🌟Making colourful stars to guide our way
Surrounded by our tamariki and their whanau coming together as one as we celebrate a beautiful celebration from our Maori culture here at Kids Cave Early Learning
