Our pepi in Nikau room enjoyed a hΔ«kai (walk) down to Mitre 10 Mega to purchase some vegetable plants for our garden- we love getting out and exploring our community- waving and saying hello to all the trucks, buses and people. We cant wait to plant them in our outdoor space and watch them grow!

Daffodil Day at Kids Cave

Today we marked Daffodil Day, with our tamariki getting creative by making beautiful daffodil flowers while learning about kindness, caring, and helping others. Our tamariki also proudly contributed coins towards the Daffodil Day charity, showing that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Today at Kids Cave Early Learning Centre
We had a wonderful visit from Carys at We Can Keep Safe

Children need to know how to protect themselves against physical and sexual abuse and bullying

Over the next 5 weeks our Preschool Tamariki are learning how to keep their own bodies safe
Our first lesson was about knowing our different body parts and what the names of them are using "my doctor call these"

Singing, Dancing and Interactive activities all together to learn how to keep their own bodies safe

Here at Kids Cave Early Learning Centre, we enjoyed spending the day with 3 newborn lambs who spent the day in the Nikau ruma. We learnt about how to be kind and gentle and how to feed them milk from a bottle. Learning to care for others, the environment and all living things is an important part of being kaitiakitanga and making sense of the world around us.

Our Tamariki smiles didn't stop all day πŸ‘πŸŒˆβœ¨

Today at Kids Cave Early Learning one of our lovely teachers bought in her baby lambs. You can see our Tamariki are learning to be gentle with the lambs and how to care for them

Preschoolers - Made a circle so our lamb friend couldn't escape, they took turns at having a pet and learnt to sit and wait patiently and still for the lamb to come to them and to not chase them

Babies/Toddlers - Had the opportunity to feed the lambs their bottles learning how to keep the bottle upright and listening to the instructions from Becky
Thank you Becky we loved having your lambs here in our centre πŸ‘πŸŒˆβœ¨
