Busy Bees Hamilton East Busy Bees Hamilton East is a beautiful purpose-built childcare centre with a maximum occupancy of 110 children (25 under two and 85 over two).

We have three unique and aesthetically set up classrooms to provide a variety of open-ended learning possibilities for all children. Along with Te Whariki (The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum), The Reggio Emilia approach shapes our philosophy. We are active in establishing and maintaining solid relationships with the children, their whanau and the local Hamilton community. Yesterday, we had lots of fun celebrating Wig Wednesday at Busy Bees Hamilton East! Our tamariki and kaiako loved showing off their colourful and creative wigs and hair styles while supporting a great cause.

A big thank you to all the families who have already donated through our Cancer Society Wig Wednesday fundraising page. Your support helps make a difference for Kiwi children with cancer and their whฤnau.

As we wrap up a wonderful term, we're excited to kick off our School Holiday Programme next Monday! We have two weeks of fun-filled experiences planned to keep our tamariki engaged, active, creative, and enjoying time with their friends. This afternoon our Pohutukawa Room had a special visit from Ruben the Road Safety Bear!

Our tamariki have been looking forward to meeting Ruben and had a wonderful time learning about road safety, including Stop, Look, Listen and Link, wearing helmets when riding bikes, travelling safely in car seats, and recognising road signs.

This learning connects with our Bee Curious Curriculum through Understanding the World, and Personal, Social & Emotional Development, as children build awareness of how to keep themselves and others safe in their community.
