Reading fluency is the bridge between sounding out words and truly understanding what’s on the page. It’s about reading accurately, smoothly, and with expression — so your child can focus on meaning, not just decoding.
Strong readers aren’t just born — they’re supported. 💛
If you want personalised literacy tutoring to help your child build fluency and confidence, send us an email or tap the website link on our page to get started.

Looking for some maths practice before school goes back? The Ministry of Education has released this pilot site for Years 3-8. They recommend starting with the year your child just completed, but you may need to go up or down. I recommend having pencil and paper on hand! Note that it only provides answers, not full worked solutions - nonetheless, it’s a good way to see what is now expected at each level.

Thinking of all of our senior students as NCEA results are out tomorrow! 💕 If you want to get them in for tutoring this year, we still have a few spaces available.
NCEA results will be released tomorrow — here’s how you can support your young person 💜
On 14 January 2026, students can access their NCEA results through their learner login on the NZQA website.
For many students and whānau, this can be an emotional day, so we’ve included a few links that might help.
