🚔 Safer Communities Together 🚔
Today we were lucky to have the NZ Police visit Curious Cubs! Even more special, the officers who came are parents from our Curious Cubs whānau. 💙
The tamariki loved exploring the police cars, chatting over the radio, and trying on a police hat and vest. There were lots of smiles, excitement, and curious questions throughout the visit! To finish off the visit, the officers turned on the flashing lights and sirens, which was definitely a highlight for everyone! 🚨
A big thank you to NZ Police for taking the time to visit us and helping our tamariki learn more about the important role police play in keeping our communities safe. We had an amazing time! 👮🚓

Ruben the Road Safety Bear joined our preschool room today, teaching us all about staying safe on the roads! 🚗🚴🚶
We learned how to stay safe whether we’re walking, biking, or travelling in the car. We also talked about using crossings safely and what the different traffic lights mean. Learning these important road safety skills helps keep us safe whenever we’re out and about 💜

✨Mānawatia a Matariki ✨
Last week, we celebrated Matariki with our special whānau night. ⭐️
In the lead-up to the evening, our whānau kindly brought in vegetables to help make a delicious soup, and our preschool tamariki worked carefully together to peel and prepare them. 🥣🍠
On the night, we enjoyed making beautiful headbands and kites, explored planting seeds, and our tamariki proudly performed for their whānau. 🪁
A big thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate Matariki. It was a wonderful evening spent connecting, creating, and celebrating together. 💙

World Environment Day 🌿🌳
Even in the heart of the city, we remain connected to taiao (the natural world). Through planting, exploring, and observing nature, tamariki develop a deeper understanding of the environment and are encouraged to become the kaitiaki (guardian) of tomorrow 💚🌸☀️
