Toastmasters Hamilton Club

Our theme for this week's meeting was Fitness. We heard about the parallels between gymming and Toastmasters - both are challenging and require practice to get better. But once you get going it can be a lot of fun.

Our Toastmaster of the evening was Catherine, and our Table Topics winner was Natalie.

Our meeting theme this week was 'The Book of Your Life,' based on the British TV show 'This is Your Life.' For some it was a walk down memory lane, for others it was a learning experience, but for everyone it was a great night.

Nick was our winner for both Table Topics and Toastmaster of the night. Congratulations to Jay who has completed Level 2 of the Effective Coaching pathway.

This week's meeting theme was Personality.

The Table Topics winner was Monica and the Toastmaster of the evening was Jobet.

There will not be a meeting on Monday 1st June due to the public holiday.

Our theme for this week's meeting was Royalty. We learnt about the difference between absolute monarchies and constitutional monarchies, as well as about different royal families around the world.

Our Table Topics winner was Mark and our Toastmaster of the evening was Natasha. Olivia received a certificate for completion of Level 1 of the Presentation Mastery pathway.

Overall a great evening where everyone took stewardship of their roles. 👑

Our meeting theme this week was 'Social Cohesion - what is it, is it important?'

Our Table Topics winner was Iwan and our Toastmaster of the evening was Natasha.

Our theme for this week's meeting was 'Local AI Agents - Hype, Hope or a Huge Hallucination?' Needless to say, this was a very interesting and relevant topic for the meeting. There was some great content and an extended Table Topics section where we heard from different club members about their opinions on AI agents.

Our Toastmaster of the evening was Nick and our Table Topics winner was Luke.

Our meeting theme this week was Mentoring and Coaching. We learned about the difference between mentoring and coaching, and how it applies for members moving through their Toastmasters journeys.
The Toastmaster of the evening was Catherine, and the Table Topics winner was Zak.

There won't be a meeting on Monday 27th April because of the public holiday. We will be back up and running on Monday 4th May.

Our meeting this week was a time for both reflection and looking forward. Who were our heroes growing up, who are they now, and how can we figure out who are heroes are?
Our Toastmaster of the evening was Lyall and our Table Topics winner was Sreejith.
