I am incredibly proud to be opening another tutoring space!
This expansion means I can support even more children to develop the reading, writing, and mathematics skills they need to thrive at school and beyond.
Unfortunately, many children miss out on the support they need due to limited resources and funding. The students we currently work with are either progressing through their schooling with additional learning support or preparing for a successful transition to school through targeted early intervention.
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. If you would like to learn more about how we can support your child, contact us today.
Available for online as well!

It’s incredibly sad to see headlines like this becoming more common across Aotearoa. The reality is that as curriculum expectations continue to evolve, the gap for many children entering school is becoming increasingly evident.
At Bridging the Gap, we are passionate about supporting children, whānau, and centres to create confident, successful transitions into school and beyond.
For parents wanting to give their child a strong start, we offer personalised transition to school support designed to build confidence, independence, and foundational learning skills in a positive and engaging way.
For ECE centres, we work alongside teaching teams to strengthen transition to school programmes and provide practical support that benefits both tamariki and whānau.
We also provide tailored tutoring support for school aged children who may require additional guidance to thrive academically and emotionally.
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed with the right support around them. Contact us today to find out how we can help.

Today we partnered with another forward thinking kindergarten committed to setting their tamariki up for success before they begin their school journey.
Their excitement for launching a new, tailored programme is matched only by ours as we work alongside them to create meaningful, lasting impact.
The response from whānau has been incredibly positive because we know that starting school can feel overwhelming, and the right support makes all the difference for both tamariki and their families.

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately but behind the scenes, we’ve been busy working with organisations across the ditch and supporting more centres with tailored, high-impact solutions.
Recently, we spoke with a centre navigating questions around their transition to school programme. Through our expertise and research backed support, they confidently refined their approach to align with requirements while staying true to their philosophy and local curriculum.
If you’re facing similar challenges or ready to strengthen your outcomes we’re here to help.

A lot of people reached out after my last post about strengthening transition-to-school programmes which was awesome to see!
One thing that kept coming up in conversations with centres was this:
“We want to strengthen early literacy… but we don’t want to overload our kaiako.”
And that’s exactly why Sound Packs work so well.
They’re designed to be:
✔️ Simple to implement
✔️ Used daily with tamariki
✔️ Aligned with building strong literacy foundations
✔️ Supportive of your existing programme not adding extra workload.
Seeing centres realise that building strong school ready foundations can actually be simple is one of the most rewarding parts of this mahi.
If you’re a centre leader or kaiako thinking about strengthening your transition-to-school approach, I’d love to kōrero.
📩 Send me a message or comment “SOUNDS” and I’ll share more information.
