🌟Matariki is upon us, we begin to celebrate in all the ways we can.

✨🌱the dawning of the Māori new year is a time to be grateful for the harvest - of all the areas we have tended throughout the year, from learning to Marama Kai, we receive what we have put Mahi into 🫶🏽

💛it is a time for rebirth, to begin again and to remember those who have now passed.

These are just a few things, what do you feel gratitude for, what dreams do you have for this coming year?

💫 We will be holding our annual Matariki Whānau evening again in July, one of our favourite times of the year. We hope you will join us for shared Kai and culture 🧡

🌷As is often said for good reason, in childcare- farewells are so bittersweet.

🌸Grateful for all the times ’ve learned from each other. Grateful for the sparkle you brought on the daily, most of all, incredibly excited for your journey ahead Mikayla and Whānau 🙏🏽😍 see you soon ok 😘🌷🌸

Let them learn, let them try, learning is by doing, trust them to learn. Here at Avalon Childcare we provide safe opportunities for children to grow and learn by ‘doing life’ - when we ‘do’, we learn 😉 and the bonus is, the tamaiti love it!

As we send another one off into the world, we reflect on our years together. Joey, we have learned from you more than you know, we’ve seen your light and supported you to share it, your heart is big and your love is fierce.

Your passion and your heart for caring is where you are happiest. We will miss this 💗 don’t change 😍

🐣🐇Easter joys and fond farewells Avalon Childcare

We recently had our beautiful friends from dinsdale library join us here at our centre!

🌻While the preschoolers often get to go on a bus trip adventure to the library, our toddlers are still too young for that so we thought, why don’t we bring the adventure here?

🌻What a treat it was. Beautifully focused engaged and delighted tamariki was the result.
