We hope you enjoyed the prize giving last night. It was a fantastic way to end our time together as Longford Intermediate. Thank you for your attendance and support. We would like to acknowledge that there were 15 children who missed out on their William Pike Badges last night due to the badges being SOLD OUT. We are very sorry for this. The children who missed out showed resilience. The badges are due to arrive in January next year. We have a list of the children who missed out and we will follow up on this to ensure that they get the badge they deserve, and have worked so hard for. Here are our ‘Excellence’ awarded students for 2023. These students completed all tasks required as part the Longford School Leavers Profile. They were able to prove that they understand and demonstrate their PRIDE values by presenting this to staff. They achieved their Silver first, then Gold and now their Excellence. Room 8 @ Longford visited Dolamore Park today despite the rain and wind. They managed to do a bushwalk, catch some yabbies, challenge themselves on the playground and enjoy some kai. Thankyou to Dana & Lisa for the idea, planned activities and food. Also thanks to Kirsty, Greg and Emily for the transport out! Big respect to Room 8 for letting me tag along - From Mrs Millar 😀

Dress up as the first letter of your name! Some epic dress-ups again today! A slight change of plans re tomorrow’s M***i Day… we have brought forward our Christmas themed m***i day to ensure that students can keep their uniforms pristine ready for Blues and Prize-giving evening. This will be the last m***i day/challenge. Any students who come to school on Thursday will need to make sure they wear their uniform. Thank you so much for the donations of non-perishable food.

Over the last couple of weeks some students on the School Council (and our wonderful Marleen) have been busy making Christmas Hampers for some people who provide great services in our community. We are so lucky to have so many great supports in the Eastern Southland area.

Just a heads up that on Wednesday afternoon all students and staff will be heading down to the Calvin Church to have a practice for our Blues and Prize-giving evening. This will conclude at 3pm, so students will be able to walk home or be collected from the Calvin Church. Bus students will walk to Gore High School and catch the bus from there.

Our Blues & Prize-giving evening will begin at 6:30p.m. on Wednesday night. Students who are recieving a blues and/or award will bring home a notice tomorrow.
