BREAKING: CERN discovers antihyperhelium-4, the heaviest antimatter particle yet

Scientists at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider have discovered the heaviest antimatter particle ever observed: antihyperhelium-4.

This exotic particle, the antimatter counterpart of hyperhelium-4, contains two antiprotons, an antineutron, and an antilambda particle. The breakthrough offers insights into the extreme conditions of the early universe and sheds light on the baryon asymmetry problem — why our universe is dominated by matter despite matter and antimatter being created in equal amounts during the Big Bang.

The discovery was made using lead-ion collisions at the LHC, recreating the hyper-hot environment of the newborn universe. Machine learning models analyzed the data, identifying antihyperhelium-4 particles and precisely measuring their masses.

While the experiment confirmed that matter and antimatter are created in equal portions, the mystery of what tipped the cosmic balance remains unsolved. With ongoing upgrades to the LHC, more groundbreaking discoveries in antimatter research could be on the horizon.

This is Mileva Marić Einstein, Albert Einstein’s forgotten wife.

All evidence indicates that she substantially contributed to his most groundbreaking theories.

She was also a brilliant mathematician and physicist. The two met at the Polytechnic Institute of Zurich. And unlike Einstein, she had to fight and attain special permission to attend.

At university, she received higher marks than Einstein. In Applied Physics, she got the top mark of 5. Einstein got a mark of only 1.

On 13 December 1900, they submitted the first article on capillarity, but it was signed only under Einstein's name, as their works wouldn’t get published with a woman’s name on them.

Many of his lecture notes are in Mitza’s handwriting, and Albert was once heard at a party saying, “I need my wife; she helps solve all of my mathematical problems.” 80% of Einstein’s famous works were published during this marriage, referred to as his “magic years.” Those magic years ended abruptly after they divorced due to his infidelity and abandonment.
