Kia ora e te whānau,
Check out our attendance for Week 4! We had 26 tamariki achieve 100% attendance, with Aaron receiving this week’s attendance award, his second award this term! Ka mau te wehi, Aaron!
Our Green Zone is also looking great, with lots of our tamariki still on the list. Keep up the awesome mahi, whānau!
With lots of bugs and flu going around at the moment, remember that if your child is unwell, please keep them home and let the school know.
Check out the information below from our school nurse, Shannon, about managing seasonal viral illnesses (colds and flu).
Stay warm, stay well, and look after each other, whānau.

A few weeks ago, our Room 1 and Room 3 tamariki got their hands dirty planting native plants along the Waikanae Awa, beside Gisborne Airport.
It was awesome to see our tamariki working alongside others in our community and putting their learning into action, helping to care for and protect our awa. Check out the write-up from Gisborne Airport about the mahi our tamariki were involved in!

Today our tamariki were fortunate to have Kōkā Becs from Hato Hone St John visit our kura to teach us how to respond in an emergency.
Our Room 1 and Room 2 tamariki learned important first aid skills, including how to call 111 and ask for help, how to care for someone by placing them in the recovery position, and how to apply a bandage.
A huge thank you to Kōkā Bex for sharing these valuable life skills with our tamariki. We had lots of fun learning and practising together!
85%!! of our tamariki in attendance today!
Ka pai everybody!
