What a productive short week we have had here at Busy Bees Tairāwhiti! 🐝 From our pepi exploring their beautiful new outdoor environment, to our Mokehu and Matata tamariki engaging in carpentry experiences, physical challenges through swinging and climbing, and creative construction using hammers and boxes, there has been lots of learning, exploration and fun happening across the centre! We hope you all have a fantastic weekend and enjoy some quality time together. We look forward to another exciting weekend ahead!

💞 Pink Shirt Day 2026 💞

✨ What an exciting few days we’ve had here at Busy Bees Tairāwhiti! ✨

Our under 2’s Pitau outdoor environment has had a full refresh, creating an open, safe, and purposeful space for our pēpi to explore, discover, and learn through play 🌿

We’ve also had our brand new centre drop-down blinds installed — absolutely perfect for the wet winter days ahead! This means plenty of outdoor engagement can continue while keeping our tamariki dry, and warm under cover ☔

Our kaiako have also begun developing a new māra (garden) in our over 2’s outdoor space 🪴 This will provide a nutritious space for our tamariki to help grow, nurture, and care for our very own vegetables as they learn about where our kai comes from.

This couldn’t come at a better time as we head into our centre focus on Matariki over the coming months — a special time of growth, reflection, renewal, and learning together 🌟

We can’t wait to see our tamariki thrive in these beautiful new spaces 💛Busy Bees Aotearoa
