This is what I am thinking about. This photo is in the Samoa Museum, of the last Alia. Our huge Samoa traditional va’a that sailed from islands near and far. Built in ‘umu (cooking pit) for the long hauls. Could carry 200 people.

Indigenous genious. Before the settlers came, we knew, we know, we can, we do.
