This week, EIT Computing students stepped out of the classroom and into the world of AI, robotics, and autonomous systems.🚁🤖
As part of their Applied Projects work, students visited Qube and Robotics Plus, where they presented project work, connected with industry professionals, and explored real-world technology in action.
The visit led to some exciting outcomes:
🎓 One student has secured an internship with Qube, working between Gisborne Port and the Tauranga development team.
🚁 Students have also been invited to contribute to a national project focused on drone technology and deep learning systems.
🤝 Discussions with Robotics Plus provided valuable insight into the skills the industry is looking for in future graduates, helping keep EIT programmes aligned with workforce needs.
Partnerships like these help bridge the gap between study and industry, creating valuable opportunities for our students.
A huge thank you to Qube and Robotics Plus for supporting our students and helping shape the future of technology.
