We are supporting a couple of key fundraisers coming up, and we would love your support!
Daffodil Day – Friday 28th August
Daffodil Day is a cause that is always close to everyone's heart. Students are encouraged to come to school wearing yellow and/or green, and a koha donation is greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go towards our local Cancer Society.
Cans for Good – Friday 11th September
This will be a m***i day! Our Aurora Leadership students are participating in a local drive on behalf of SuperGrans Tairāwhiti. Many schools across our district will be participating over the coming month, with all collected donations going to SuperGrans, who do an incredible job of supporting local families in need.
Please keep these dates in mind. Thank you for your continued support!

Weka Ball Rugby is alive and well! 🏉
Today, Makauri School came to challenge for the prestigious Weka Ball, and boy did they turn up!
Makauri took an early two-try lead inside the first 6 minutes, but this didn't deter our team. They fought their way back into the game, playing rugby that we know works for us. Going into the half, we had regained the lead to take a 3–2 try advantage.
Makauri, not willing to give in, came out firing again, scoring twice to take a 4–3 lead. With just minutes to go, our boys dug deep to equalize 4–4. An intense final few minutes followed, but the score remained unchanged.
As current holders of the Weka Ball, a draw was enough to hold onto it for another week and another challenge.
Thank you, Makauri, for bringing the heat today. You guys were outstanding and proved why you've been leading the way in rugby this year.
To our Central boys, congratulations on playing for each other and leaving everything out there. Your Maiatanga was on full display today.
We know it's cliché, but Rugby really was the winner on the day. It was an EPIC game!
Thanks to Mr Scragg for taking photos of today's match.
