🌈Harmony Day 🌈 2026 🌷🕊️

Today was a beautiful nod to spring, a celebration of belonging, friendship, culture and the magic of simply being YOU. 💛

Our kindergarten was filled with colour, laughter, creativity and connection - from foot spas and natural face-mask pampering to sharing, playing and celebrating together.

We were reminded that there is nobody else quite like you - and that everyone has a place, everyone matters, and everyone belongs. 🌈

A huge thank you to our GK whānau for supporting our fundraiser for the Geraldine Social Work Trust.

🌱 And what a special way to finish the day with a visit from Liz, our Mitre 10 MEGA gardening guru, Christopher Robin 🐷, Nikita and other friends!

🚗🔧 A very special visit to North End Motors! 🔧🚗

We absolutely love experiences like this for our tamariki! Getting out into our community, seeing a real workplace in action and learning about the important work mechanics do was so exciting!

We feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a tight-knit, supportive community, where our tamariki can connect, explore and learn from the amazing people around them.

A huge thank you to Ryan and the team at North End Motors for welcoming us - what a fantastic experience! Rev, rev….zoooooom. 🏁🚗🏎️

“Ko ngā tamariki te take - the children are the reason, the heart and the future.” ❤️🌿

What a very special moment as our tamariki led the way, alongside our local taoka, Whaea Addie, to bless the site of our new Under 2’s kindergarten.

After such a huge journey, we have officially kicked off our new build! 🏗️✨

📢 Community Notice - Please Help Us Care for Our Share the Aroha 💚

Our Share the Aroha is here to support our community by providing good quality clothing, fresh produce, and occasionally books and small play resources e.g. puzzles.

Unfortunately, we are finding that it is increasingly being used as a place to leave unwanted household items and general second-hand goods. This is not what the Share the Aroha is intended for.

We kindly ask that you do not leave household goods, used well- loved toys, kitchenware, or other unwanted items. At present, our teaching team are spending a significant amount of time outside of their normal working hours sorting, cleaning, and disposing of items, and our bins are now at capacity.

Please only leave:
🌿 Good quality clothing (on the clothing shelf)
🥕 Fresh produce, canned food etc, flowers & plants
📚 Books & good quality - clean play resources.

We really value this initiative and want to keep it available for everyone. However, if it continues to be used as a drop-off point for unwanted items, we will need to rethink how it operates and may have to move it inside the kindergarten for the use of our kindergarten families only.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep the Share the Aroha a welcoming and useful space for all.💚

What a fantastic day exploring our wonderful Geraldine community! 💚

We absolutely love the special connections we have with our hapori (community). Ngā mihi nui to Barker’s Foodstore & Eatery for your incredible manaakitanga and generosity - it made our day extra special.

We also loved spending time at our local library, fostering a love of pukapuka (books), stories and literacy. 📚✨

He taonga te hapori - our community is a treasure.
