We would love you to join us for our Geraldine Preschool major fundraiser- 'Beats by Bingo!'

Bingo with a musical twist! It promises to be a fun-filled night full of great tunes, prizes and plenty of laughs, all while helping us raise funds for our tamariki!

Today, Whare Piki spent some wonderful time exploring Te Ngahere (our forest classroom)... Ngā tamariki embraced every opportunity to discover, create, imagine, play games, dance and connect with the natural world around them. We even enjoyed morning tea and lunch in the fresh air, making it an awesome day of learning and fun..

There were so many smiles, curious minds, and memorable moments, and we can't wait to head back out for another adventure soon...

A big thank you to all our whānau who joined us to celebrate Matariki.

❤️ This year's Matariki theme, Matariki Herenga Waka, reminds us of the importance of inclusion and encourages everyone to come together to celebrate Matariki ❤️

Our tamariki have been busy all week preparing delicious soup, creating lanterns, and making artwork to share with our whānau. It was wonderful to see their hard work and creativity on display.

We were also treated to an incredible fire poi performance by one of our talented whānau then we all got to boogie on down at the disco

✨✨ Matariki Pizzas ✨✨
We have been busy making pizzas in Whare Kōhanga to celebrate Matariki. This year's theme is Matariki Herenga Waka - all about embracing inclusion and encouraging everyone to come together in celebration of Matariki. We had to work together to create the dough, then roll out our dough and add the toppings. We ensured everyone had one for lunch - including the kaiako. Everyone did an outstanding job: noho tahi (coming together), hākari (feasting) and tohatoha (sharing)❤️

This morning the lovely staff at Aorangi Vets welcomed us in to see their clinic. This was particularly special for us as we have many tamariki in Whare Kōhanga that have connections to the vets around Geraldine. Ngā tamariki loved saying hello to a special wee friend, Jack 🐶

🥞🥞 Today, some of our tamariki and kaiako went to visit to Barker's Foodstore & Eatery Geraldine to see Abi, Tama’s mum at her workplace and to strengthen the connections with our community.

Thank you so much for having us - we had the most wonderful time enjoying the most scrumptious pancakes with Barker’s jam and a fluffy! 🥞🥞
