Foxton Move & Groove Playgroup - a fun and interactive parent run playgroup
Let your little one learn and explore with peers through play, crafts, music and dance. All Pre-School Children Welcome! Tuesday mornings during school term only from 9.30am to 11.30am

Timetable:
* 9.30am – 10.30am - Learning through discovery & active child-parent play
*10.30am - Pack Up
*10.45am - Morning Tea
* 11am - 1

1.30am - Move & Groove music and moment session

FREE Playgroup for all. Please bring along a packed morning tea for your little groover (morning tea not provided). You can find us in the St John's Church Hall at 11 Avenue Road.

Here's to being a little late but better than never ....

And that's a wrap! Move & Groove Playgroup is officially CLOSED.
Thank you to all the parents who brought their little people to our farewell party on Tuesday morning. It was fantastic seeing some very familiar faces all grown up and getting the opportunity to catch up with past friends and reminisce.
One special little Groover got to celebrate his 5th birthday with us and was wished well on his new adventure as a school boy.
A big shout out to Moore Fun Bouncy Castles who helped us provide a very fun time for both our littlest groovers to our much older and bigger past groovers - Jayden and his Team provide an awesome local business with amazing customer service.
There was much fun had bouncing around, playing with bubbles, drawing with chalk, having a sneaky dance and enjoying one last morning tea together with a nice cool teat afterwards (sorry no pictures were taken as we were too busy ensuring our guest had a good time). Once again thank you to everyone who helped support and attended Move & Groove over the many years from its very humble beginnings to the wonderful community playgroup it developed into.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we make this announcement. After more than 16 years Foxton Move & Groove will be closing its doors permanently. Our LAST and FINAL session will be held on Tuesday the 12th of December 2023.

With recent societal changes and more parents trying to juggle a working family life balance, our playgroup has struggled to find the support required to keep operating.
We have appreciated all the love and support from our community to have been able to offer this wonderful early childhood experience for so many of our local tamariki for as long as we have.

We would like to thank all of the families that have been with us on this journey, whether it has been visiting occasionally or hanging out with us for a long time while your families have grown to completion.

Most importantly we would like to acknowledge the generosity of past and present coordinators and committee members who have volunteered and given so much of their time to ensure our playgroup have served the needs of our community over the past 16 years. A massive shout out to everyone who has help contribute and shape Move & Groove to what we have known it to be.

We would like to invite all past and present Move & Groovers to help celebrate the end of an era following our final session. Please standby for further information as we work on finalising the details.

Hi to all our Movers & Groovers.

We have been working very hard behind the scenes getting ready to welcome you all back. After many discussions, meetings and hours of reorganising we are finally ready to let you all know...

WE ARE OPEN TUESDAY 1ST MARCH, 9.30-11.30AM!!!!

Chey and I have had lots to sort out since we shut our doors last year but we are sooooo excited to be opening up again and can't wait to see all your smiling faces.

Here's what you need to know:
1. Our space has changed since the church has opened its doors to Sunday Services again, so don't be too shocked with the changes.
2. We are required by the Ministry of Education to have all our attending Parents/Caregivers Covid vaccinated. This is not a Move n Groove decision so please don't shoot the messengers.
3. We will need you to fill in NEW enrolment forms.
4. Please remember our babies don't need to social distance but our Mamas and Minders need to stay 1m apart please.
5. Coffee and tea will no longer be offered but please feel free to bring your own (in a lidded cup)
6. While we were closed our sunshade over the sandpit was damaged beyond repair so until we have funding to replace this, our babies won't be able to use the outside area.

Feel free to pm either me or Chey if you have any questions, otherwise we will see you all on Tuesday morning. :D

Hello to all our Movers and Groovers out there, we hope you are still keeping well and we look forward to opening up as soon as we can. After many lengthy discussions we have decided to remain closed until we are either back to Level 1 or the new Covid 19 Protection Framework kicks in.

This has not been an easy decision for us as we miss you all terribly and know that for some, our little weekly playgroup is the only time you can relax and have some downtime while our kiddies play together.

We are keeping a very close eye on the developments surrounding Covid and we hope to reach the 90% target of double vaccinations to get us moving with the traffic light system and back to our Tuesday morning sessions.

Keep smiling and stay safe, we hope to see you all again soon xx
