🌿 A Day of Reconnecting, Exploring & New Beginnings at Heartland Cottage! 🐾
Today was all about reconnecting with old friends, meeting some very new arrivals, and getting out into nature! 💚
We started by checking on all the animals, with plenty of cuddles along the way. Indie the guinea pig was especially popular, with our tamariki loving the chance to reconnect with one of their favourite little friends. 🐹❤️
We also got to meet some very special new arrivals — they were just over an hour old! ✨ There’s nothing quite like watching new life arrive at Heartland Cottage.
With some new tamariki joining us, we spent time getting to know the ponies too. 🐴 Building confidence, creating connections and simply enjoying being around the animals is such an important part of what we do.
Then it was time for a little adventure! 🌲 We headed into the forest to collect ferns and pinecones for our animals. The ferns were particularly special because our blue-tongue lizards have just woken up from their winter rest and were ready for some fresh greenery. 🦎🌿
Animals, nature, friendship and a little bit of adventure — just another day of learning at Heartland Cottage. ❤️
