Staying Calm When Things Get Hard - Workshop

Thursday, 27th August 2026 6:00pm – 7:30pm – NSS Staffroom

Parenting is one of the most important and challenging roles we will ever have. There will be days when we respond with patience and days when we wish we had handled things differently. What matters isn’t perfection, but our willingness to learn, repair, and keep showing up with love.

Staying Calm When Things Get Hard is a 90-minute workshop about understanding what happens in our mind and body in during tricky times and learning practical tools that can help us respond to our tamariki in ways that support safety and connection.

Presented by Te Manawa Family Services, this workshop is open to all North Street School whānau. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

NB: Childcare will be provided by Jenny Watson if required but please advise the school prior to the evening.
