Wednesday 24th June 2026
Middle of the week and the weather is not looking nice. Oh no it is snowing.

We had so much fun playing in the snow.

Our game of the day was Doggie, Doggie Who Has Your Bone.

As the afternoon went on we decided to chill out and revisited Doc. Mcstuffins and Puppy Dog Pals.

Then it was time to celebrate Country Kindy. Wow what a turn out. It was so lovely to see so many current and ex Families that came and joined our celebration. Reminiscing on the adventures we had over the years and seeing how big some of our not so little Friend’s Harakeke/Flax. Sharing photos and videos, and hearing about what they have achieved.

Thank you for coming and celebrating with us. We appreciate you so much.

Tuesday 23rd June 2026
Today saw us have our Disco going. With a live DJ. We showed off our groove moves.

The Teachers received a special surprise from FAMCO Water Cartage. Some yummy hot drinks. Thank you so much.

We had the Movie Cinema operating again today. Viewings today were Doc. Mcstuffins.

So proud of our Friends, offering to help out our Helping Hand set the tables for Lunch. Our game of the day was Duck, Duck, Goose.

While in the Farmyard, two Air Force Helicopters flew over Kindy. We headed up to the front paddock to have a play on the Baleage Stack.

Remember our little Friends are more than welcome to come to kindy in their favourite Dress-up, over the week.

We are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow from 3pm.

Monday 22nd June 2026
So welcome to our last week.

LET’S CELEBRATE COUNTRY KINDY.

How else do we start off our celebrations than with the opening of our Movie Cinema. We had viewings of Winne the Pooh, Cars and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Our game of the day was, you guessed it Hide n Seek with Winnie the Pooh.

During the afternoon we got our faces painted.

We had such a magical day.

For the rest of the week if our little Friends want to come dressed up they are more than welcome.

Friday 19th June 2026
One of our Friends, had fun building his own little Farm today. Moving his stock around.

Our Helping Hand decided to choose a new Friend, so she could experience what it means to be Helping Hand.

We helping to make our special banner for our Let’s Celebrate this coming week.

It was so cool to see one of our Friends revisit the Carpentry Area from yesterday, she did a great job.

The game of the day was Connect Four. We had so much fun problem solving how to make forming a row.

We headed out to the front of Kindy and enjoyed running around catching bubbles.

Thursday 18th June 2026
We revisited our creative flair in the Carpentry Area. The girls loved making their designs.

We had a Friend that was loving going around cleaning.

Let’s just say we had some very cute Helping Hands and her assistant. Helping Hand was very helpful on the Bathroom, great job. And her game of the day was Hopscotch.

For one of our Friends, she made Harakeke flowers, as they have sadly had someone pass. While making the flowers another Friend asked if she could help make one, showing so much respect, towards her Friend.

Creative painting with rollers. It requires a different technique to move the rollers to create their picture.

Connie, Country Kindy is so proud of you. You’re proof that “play-based learning” really does plant seeds for the future.

You’ve grown into exactly the hardworking, curious person we knew you’d be. So proud of you, girl.

You have taken what you learnt about rural life with us and turned it into her own business adventure.

So if you need or know anyone requiring Connie and her little Blue Tractor, give her a call.

Wednesday 17th June 2026
Today we celebrated a 4th Birthday. Wow he had so much fun. Enjoyed a special treat of ice cream. He decided his game of the day was going to be Connect Four.

We explored using the Carpentry, to make some pieces of art work. What a great job they looked amazing.

Our little Friends love to help and today we had a very keen Friend that offered to put the wash tub away.

Tuesday 16th June 2026
We welcomed a new Friend to Country Kindy. She has such an awesome day, as well as supporting a new Friend with transitional visits.

Just love watching our little Friends having a go at being Helping Hand. It can be very scary to stand up in front of a group, but our little Friend did it as a pro today. He also helped clean up some spilt water, so helpful.

With the rain coming down outside, this meant the Rainy Day Toys came out and wow did we have fun. The Rainy Day Toys seemed to spark some dance moves, like Spider-Man.

We had some more Friends drawing pictures to send to our Friend that is unwell. These guys are so caring.

Our game of the day was Doggie, Doggie Who Has Your Bone.

Sadly we also had to say Goodbye to Export, he is retiring and going to live out his day with his Best Friend, Skittles.

Monday 15th June 2026
With the sun shining in through the front of the building, we explored our shadow today. This was so much fun and then we spotted our reflection on the lino.

There was some fun being creative, in the Art Area.

To show our love for one of our Friends, we drew some special pictures. To show how much we love and miss him.

Our game of the day was Doggie Doggie Who’s Got Your Bone.

We even had time to set up a mini Farm.

While outside one Friend found a small flower. Using the camera we were able to zoom in and take a closer look. Wow just beautiful. Then was a great interest in picking daisies.

As the Teachers were leaving our little Friends were having fun playing tag.
