Eden Christian Kindergarten is seeking to fill the soon to be available manager’s position due to retirement of our current manager. This is the first time this position has been publicly advertised in 12 years.
We are looking for an energetic, vibrant person who has an outgoing personality to work within our centre and lead our team of professional early childhood educators.
Eden Christian Kindergarten wishes to fill this position with a person who shares similar characteristics and philosophies to that within the centre.
The following skills, knowledge and capabilities ideally required for this role include, however additional training will be provided to the right candidate:
• A passion for the education of children, helping them develop into lifelong learners.
• A commitment to supporting the Christian special character of the kindy.
• A heart for community and whanau.
• Experience leading and coaching a team, alongside the Head Teacher, to deliver exceptional learning opportunities.
• Outstanding time management, organisational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Teaching Council, ERO, MOE requirements, licensing criteria, 2008 Regulations and Code of Ethics.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the principals of Te Whariki.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
The position is a permanent position of approximately 22hrs per week.
The successful applicant must be able to work within New Zealand or have a current NZ visa to work.
Previous early childhood education experience would be of a benefit to the successful applicant however not necessary as training will be provided to the successful person.
What will you bring to Eden:
-Previous administration experience in a similar environment.
-Exceptionally high attention to detail.
-Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and complete work accurately and in a timely fashion.
-Demonstrate ability to apply discretion, judgement and maintain confidentiality.
-Current New Zealand driver’s licence.
